Is my device compatible eSIM?
Most recent smartphones support eSIM: iPhone XS/XR and newer, Google Pixel 3 and newer, and most recent Samsung Galaxy models, among others. Your phone must also be carrier-unlocked. Quick check: dial *#06# — if an EID number appears, your device supports eSIM. You can also use the compatibility checker on each destination page.
Will my physical SIM card still work?
Yes. Your physical SIM card stays in your phone and keeps working — the eSIM installs alongside it. Keep your usual number active for calls and SMS, use the Vostra eSIM for mobile data, and turn off data roaming on your physical SIM abroad to avoid roaming charges from your home carrier.
Will I receive a phone number with my Vostra eSIM?
No. Vostra eSIMs are data-only plans, so they do not include a phone number. Your existing number keeps working on your physical SIM for calls and SMS, and apps like WhatsApp, iMessage or FaceTime work normally over the eSIM data connection.
What can I do with 1GB ?
As a rough guide, 1 GB gives you about 1–2 hours of standard-quality video streaming, 6–8 hours of social media, around 15 hours of music streaming, 20+ hours of GPS navigation, or thousands of messages and emails. Video and video calls consume the most data.
